August and Things.

What the September already.  I love Fall (like every other girl in the world) and can't wait for the next few months but how did August disappear already??????

To update... I have to start with Piper, obviously.

Piper:

She started saying "Hi Piper" to everyone for a few weeks but now she's saying more, "Hi Mama" and Hi, right name.  It's so fun to watch her figure out how to communicate.

And her "Bless you" after sneezes and coughs and hiccups is probably my new favorite thing she says.

She has really started to say words more clearly - apple, banana, Donald, Minnie, Elsa, Anna are a few newer ones.

And on that frozen note, she is too funny to watch frozen with.  She will make the same movements as Elsa
or say the same line she says at the same time.  I need to get a video together.  My favorite is probably how she yells "Papaaaa" in the same concerned voice that little Elsa does.

We are mostly making the transition to 18-24 month clothes.  New clothes is fun and devastating.

Parentals:

The biggest news is that our house has finally started!  We expect it to be completed in November.  We make the trip out to it every couple of days and it's so fun to see progress!  Now we just cross our fingers that everything we picked looks okay.  As of the end of August, it's almost all done framing (today it is)!

I had strep again. And a weird rash to go along with it.  Awesome.

Colton started his last semester!  It'll be a crazy few months but we are ready for it?  So proud of that guy.

I finished summer school and have officially started Fall semester. Yay. (Not)

Family stuff:

We celebrated all sorts of niece/nephew/piper's cousins birthdays in August:  Jack, Lily, Kinzly, Kenedi, and Jagger!  Such a fun and busy month.

We went to Lagoon for my dad's company party and Piper loved most things.  It prepped us for Disneyworld which is in 39 DAYS away.  So crazzzzy excited.

We went on our first (and probably last for the summer) boating trip with the Griffin's.  We brought along Jack and Ella and had a great time.  Piper liked the shore the best.

Good stuff:

A foundation at the beginning of the month.
18 month check-up.
He had a mustache for a few weeks and I couldn't take him seriously.
Mom's homework was taking too long.
Kinzly's party.
Lagoon.  Cousins are the best.  Sad these pictures aren't very clear.
She could ride the carousel alllll day.
Baby Paradise.
Who's birthday is it?  (Correct answer: Lily)
I posted this on instagram but we don't often get a full picture of the 3 of us at the house.

Another instagram picture - but, I love it.  She's interested in basically everything but if you get too close to bugs or in the picture's case the bear sculpture at Scheel's, it's not okay.

First floor.

Second Floor.

Almost all done.

I love these pictures of her.  Some of my favorite ever.
Looking forward to our September!
