10 months.

Ten.Whole.Months.   She changes every week now, it seems.  We love this age.  We love this little girl.

Piper... 

Sleep?  Well, we have a few good nights (3 wakings) and bad nights (up every hour).   She's been better at taking naps (yay) and we are doing good.  We have tried everything we can think to try to help her sleep better at night - short of letting her scream for hours and we've done our research and don't feel like that's an option for us or will any way be beneficial for any of us- we are sleepy some days but we are happy.  

Weight?  Somewhere in the 17lbs range.   Height? approx. 28 inches.  (very scientific this month)

Milestones?  You have two new teeths (the top 2).  They came in without much fuss and have come down much faster than your bottoms ones came in, I feel.  You have so many tricks now.  You wave and say bu-bye and wave hi.  You play patty cake and clap your hands.  You "throw it in the oven" (lift both hands in the air).  You are speedy crawling (off your belly) and climbing up to everything and are much more sturdy.  I would guess you will be standing on your own in the next month.  

Likes? You love animals.  You love books.  You love tickles with Daddy.  You love bath time.  You love people and friends.  You love singing.  You love kids.  You love outside.  You love pretty necklaces and earrings.  You love cheerios and big people food (shepherd's pie, green-bean casserole).

Dislikes? You have been on a picky kick lately about food.  I think you're starting to just want big people food.  You don't like us feeding you very much any more so we are on the hunt for good finger food.  In the morning we put cheerios and oranges on your high-chair and you pick through and eat all of the cheerios.  Silly girl.  You don't like sleeping. 

Anything else?    I don't know how to write about how much you change.  You are learning so much and picking up so much that we do.  You are loud sometimes and then sometimes you are reserved.  We see so much of ourselves in you and then already we see things that are all-Piper.  We adore you little girl.  OH! You've started to really get a good scowl and we think it's hilarious.  I keep trying to get a good picture.

Nicknames?  Girlfriend.  PIpster.  Babes.  

And the parent's...

Mama?  I am good.  I have had a lot of time off lately (and this five day weekend is niiiiice).  I love Thanksgiving and I love the beginning of the Holidays.  We are Christmas-izing the house tonight and I can't wait.  We have the fishing line out to tie the tree so it doesn't topple over on the little lady and we'll probably decorate about 3 feet up.  Like everything, Christmas is going to be so much better with a baby.   

I'm so thankful for my dear husband who is patient and constant.  I love our life.  

And i'm so thankful for our Miss Piper.  Thanks for picking us, little one.    

Daddy?  Papa got a new job!  And he loves it!  We are so happy for him and so excited for the future.  We are winding down with school as well - hallelujah!   We can't wait for Christmas and then we have a cruise in January.  Soooo excited for the next few months.
