TWO

Our little monkey turned TWO .  I thought it'd be fun to answer the same questions I used to (during the baby monthly updates).

Sleep?    Oh, sleep.  If she's not sick, she sleeps good, but some night is up randomly for a few hours - talking, wanting a drink, etc.  We are still working through why.   Possibly hungry.  Possibly just a two year old thing.  It's hard.  We have been working at getting her to sleep in her own bed more (in preparation for baby #2) and it's being going alright actually.  We have a mattress on her bedroom floor right now and she seems most comfortable with that set up.  We get a few couple of hour stretches and we'll take it :)  

Weight? 23lbs (12 percentile) Height?  34 1/2"  (80 percentile)    

...She had been sick and had a crazy appetite afterwards.  I think she's more normally in the 24 pound range.

Milestones?  You talk about everything all day long.  It's my favorite thing.   You sing your ABC's.  Count to 15.   You try and say colors of things but are mostly wrong.   You communicate with us and tell us what you want or don't want. (Your new thing is that you want mom's "arms" to snuggle).  You have all your teeth but we haven't seen your 2 year molars yet.  

Likes?   You love animals, books (favorite right now is a book about bugs), princess things, Winnie the Pooh, Dora, Playing pretend in the kitchen, "helping" in the real kitchen (cracking eggs is always a request), playing in the dirt, singing, dancing, pizza, stickers, dip, coloring, playing with friends,  play-doh.... 2 years is busy.  2 years is so fun.

Dislikes?  Doing anything you don't want to do - like shopping, sharing, being in your stroller, eating sometimes, being told to be nice to Rue, Lily, or anyone etc.  But I don't think you're a terrible two year old... yet.  Haha.   

Anything else?    She talks about 'baby brother" in my belly but has no clue what that really means.  She loves babies. I think she will be a little too helpful.  :)

Mama? Daddy?   Life has been crazy and stressful lately.  Sometimes it's hard being a grown-up. But, it's really nice when we can put our "problems" in to perspective... we have each other, we love each other, we have a little healthy wiggly boy on the way and a wonderful little girl who always makes us smile.. we are so blessed and the rest will work out eventually.
